A sneak peek into the Mental Wellness Ambassadors Program

One of our signature offerings is a five-module, five-week introductory course focused on how to show up for yourself and others in ways that promote mental wellness. In this blog, I will briefly explore the module topics and share key takeaways from the perspective of a peer supporter available to participants.

Mental wellness is a very personal and intentional journey through everyday life. My name is Julia, a wellness navigator here at the HUB, and I highly recommend this program to anyone wishing to explore more ways to flourish.

As a trained peer supporter, spending five dedicated evenings virtually with community members serves as a powerful reminder of our collective desire to connect, support, and uplift. This course examines our daily connections and internal landscapes, offering ways to show up more authentically.

Mental wellness is not the absence of struggle. It is about actively choosing techniques that shift our focus and, in turn, shift our thoughts. We aim to break down stigma, examine self-limiting beliefs, and allow room to be seen more fully in our relationships and feel safe doing so.

There is no obligation to attend all five sessions; each module stands alone, and you will receive a certificate for every session you complete. If you finish all five, you will receive an Ambassador certificate!

Our facilitator ensures these sessions are safe and engaging, prioritizing your comfort above all else. Whether you prefer typing your responses, engaging verbally, or simply listening, there is a space at the virtual table for you.

Peer support: We offer two safe and dedicated support people to reach out to if you wish to explore personal narratives outside of the dedicated sessions. My co-peer offers a fantastic mindfulness activity during each module, and after the break halfway through our time together, I engage the group with a question to ponder related to the evening's discussion.

Whether your mental wellness journey has spanned decades or you are just beginning to explore these topics, we have designed these modules with community, kindness, and compassionate connection at their heart.
