The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia

This event is designed to connect families with supports, promote wellness, and highlight the range of services available within our Eastern Shore catchment area/community.

Join us for this multi-generational experience, where everyone: individuals, children, parents, and seniors all feel welcomed and can access relevant programs, services, and activities.

FULL SCHEDULE

Activities & Workshops 

10:00-10:45 - Family Yoga with Maria Payne- no experience necessary-everyone welcome! being held at Kinfolk Wellness Haven

11:00-11:45 - Enhance through Dance - with Don Rieder- movement therapy - everyone welcome! 

12:00 - 12:45 Creative Journaling with Dee Dwyer- If you've ever wanted to learn about and get started in creative journaling, join us for this fun workshop!  

1:00 - 1:45 Let's try Tai Chi! with Michele Graveline - gentle movement and wonderful for overall health and great for all ages!

1:45-2:45 - Live "Kitchen Party style" music - Bring Your Own Picnic and enjoy our live music guests - fiddles and all!

1:00-3:00  Expressive Art Sessions with Karen Lia Schlick - three 40 min workshops with "Past, Present, Future" theme-no experience needed, stay for one or stay for all! 

3:15 - 4:30 - Open Dance & Movement Gathering - a fun for all closing for the day

10-3pm - Shore Peddlin Ice Cream on site! Join us and get a chance to win a free ice cream with our hourly ice cream challenges! 

Hot Country 103.5 Street Team - 11am-1pm

Community Gratitude Tree - share what you're grateful for on a sticky note leaf for our Gratitude Tree. 

HRM Rec - Activities for kids 

Camp Kidston - Speedy Camp Day - Activity tables: Lego Table, Paint / Art Table, and more!

At Kinfolk Wellness Haven:

Wellness Demonstrations: Osteopathic assessment demos

Acupuncture information and demos, chair massage demos,

wellness education and resources, opportunities to meet our local wellness practitioners.  

Community Art Exhibit - featuring the art of local artist, Joseph Purcell known artistically as Joe Black.
